RAMP will be hosting the 11th Annual 3K Walk/Wheel, 5K Run, 1/2 Marathon Run ! All proceeds from these events will go directly to RAMP. Register online by July 20th to be guaranteed to receive an event t-shirt. Thank you for helping us to raise funds to support RAMP, a local non-profit organization that provides services and advocacy that assist individuals with disabilities to live as independently as possible. You may choose the fundraising option instead of or in addition to paying the participation fee. However, we do require that you fundraise the fee by July 20th to be ensured a t-shirt. PLEASE NOTE: In the event of inclement weather your entry fee will be considered a donation. All Half Marathon participants will receive finisher medals after the race. 5K Run – Kid-friendly Participants will run the designated route. 3K Walk / Wheel-A-Thon Participants will walk/wheel the designated route. Parking on Saturday: There is parking available at Trinity Lutheran Church, the lot behind RAMP’s parking lot (where Register Star employees park) and on Madison Street south of Prairie Street. Where to Stay: There are plenty of hotels right off the highway in Rockford or if you would like to be closer to the event, there is a new Embassy Suites hotel in downtown Rockford nearby, 416 S. Main Street, Rockford, IL 61104. 866-238-4218 Additional Information: Strollers are only permitted at the 5K Run and 3K Walk & Wheel. Please leave your four-legged friends home unless they are a service animal. Schedule: 6:30am - Registration Opens 7:30am - Half Marathon Start 7:45am - 5K Start 8:35am - 3K Walk & Wheel Start Awards: Will follow each event. There are 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals for age groups for both the 5K Run and Half Marathon. All Half Marathon, 5K Run and 3K participants will receive a finisher medal. There is a $100 prize for the overall first place winner male and female for the 5K and the Half Marathon. Weather: In the event of inclement weather your entry fee will be considered a donation. Inclement weather is considered thunder and lightning. The event can only be delayed up to 30 minutes due to road closures. Restrooms: There are port-a-johns outside as well as RAMP’s indoor restrooms available for use.
